Mountain Splendour Eco-Resort

Highly recommend this resort. Security excellent. Family run by very hands on and attentive staff. Roads good Excellent ablutions and handy laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryer. Lots of leasure activities. Scones and tea/coffee served free in the tea garden daily. Lots of mountain attractions in the area. Relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Will definitely be back!

Second time at Mountain Splendour... This is one of the best campsites ever.. The staff are excellent.. Things work, they make a plan and they let you just relax and have fun.. Thank you to Ian, Su, Amy and Ron.. You really know what we need... And if you don't want to camp.. The new Glamping structures are great... We will be back 👍

Quiet and peaceful. Very tidy and well maintained. Some pòd holes in provincial road but not too bad. Lots and lots of shade (lovely big trees). Highly recommended.

We spent a lovely weekend at Mountain Splendour and braved the cold weather in the mountains. The access roads were fine to drive, just keep an eye out for the usual potholes. There were plenty of activities to keep us busy, from playing table tennis to actual tennis and the kids were brave enough to jump into the pool. Would love to go back and enjoy the pool when it's nice and warm, because just the view itself and the surrounding area at the pool was amazing. The smaller kids, including the boss, enjoyed the playground. The staff and cleaning crew were very friendly and helpful and we were amazed at how stunning the ablution facilities were. Considering the covid situation, we were never worried, since everything was cleaned regularly and we always had plenty of hot water available. Our sites were located so we had a great view of the mountains and we even had some little goats visit us at our campsites. We were also able to take the kids to visit the pigs and the donkeys, which they thoroughly enjoyed. The sites themselves were spacious and well maintianed and the staff collected the rubbish every morning, as well as the braai area. They also delivered the wood and ice to our stands that we bought, so we didn't have to carry it all at once, since the walk to the shop was so nice, we didn't waste the petrol to drive. When considering the value for money, I would gladly pay their rates. We would definitely go back so we can enjoy the peace and quiet at Mountian Splendour again. Thank you so much to Ian and Sue for accommodating all of us and we look forward to visiting them again in the near future.

A very good winter resort for us but swimming pool was empty during our stay. We camp where there are mountain pools usually
