Het iemand onlangs karavaan gesleep in die Kgalagadi - Spesifiek na Nossob. Ons beplan om dit in April te besoek. Ek wil graag weet hoe is die paaie, kampplek ens.

Johan jy kan dalk net opvolg. Ek het in die vorige uitgawe van DRIVE OUT gelees dat die pad baie sleg was en dat party manne selfs hulle 4 X 4 voertye jammer kry. Sterkte en geniet dit.

Geert, I would definitely not pull a road van up to Nossob or Mata Mata. The road is very badly corrugated. Leave the van at Twee Rivieren. Book a chalet at the other camps or take a tent.

Agree with Brian. Definitely not a modern road caravan.

I did however see a 1970s or so van pull into Mata Mata. Guy said it had done that trip many times before...

We did the trip to Nossop about 20 years ago towing a 1984 Sprite Supersport. There was some damage like a door coming apart, the frame of the power unit breaking and some beer bottles blowing their tops. But I doubt whether today's flimsy vans will survive. 

The damage by the way was done on the corrugated dirt road of 60 kilos outside the park up to Tweerivieren and not on the roads inside the park. The reason probably was people driving fast outside causing excessive corrugation while inside the park most drivers respected the speed restrictions. Also the roads inside the park were regularly scraped or rather draged to flatten corrugation.

I very glad that the road to Twee Rivieren is now tarred all the way, at least I can get my van there :)
