The Trekkers Laager 9 Pine Lodge Newsletter shares the highlights of a memorable camping weekend held from 19–21 May 2026. After a second wave of heavy rains made the planned destination at Sitrusoewerivier unavailable, Pine Lodge welcomed the club, allowing seven families to enjoy a relaxing and enjoyable weekend together.

The weekend was filled with the simple pleasures of camping, including evenings around lively campfires, shared refreshments, and plenty of laughter among friends. Saturday began with families preparing Father's Day breakfasts at their campsites before spending the day relaxing and socialising. As the sun set, campers gathered once again around the fire to enjoy another evening of fellowship in the welcoming outdoor setting.

Sunday continued the relaxed atmosphere with the committee preparing delicious jaffles over the campfire, while members enjoyed walks, games of pool, and catching up with fellow campers.
