Can anyone tell me where I can buy a Caravan Spare wheel carrier that bolts to the A Frame in front of the caravan nose cone? I have seen it on a 1994 Jurgens Fleetline. I have a Gypsy Regal and want to fit such a carrier.

WELL WELL WELL Never thought someone would ever mention this on the forum
In 1997 when I bought my Jurgens Penta and because I had my Motor business in Cape Town I decided to manufacture sparewheel brackets for caravans
If you have some of the old Caravan & Outdoor magazines from 1997 onwards you will see my advert
Sold a lot of the brackets to caravaners which fitted the Jurgens Gypsy and Sprite caravans
Offered the brackets to most of the caravan dealers but unfortunately they wanted them for cost price which meant after delivery by courier I would have made no profit
Sold a lot to private buyers for the low cost of R 450 plus courier to Natal JHB Freestate Eastern cape etc
When I discontinued the business in 2009 I like a fool got rid of all my jigs and stopped making the brackets
Those same brackets today would be worth about R2500
Had I known I would be on this forum oneday would have continued making them and sold them to all you caravaners ha ha ha

Stol, I got one in my Garage with a Cover in very good condition. You can have it for R500-00 if you want.
I've bought it from somebody and could never put it to use.

Het niemand nog fotos of sketse van die spaarwiel bracket raakgeloop nie. Benkie het jy dalk gekyk of jy nie nog het nie.

Dit is 'n puik produk gewees.  Moes dalk as 'n standaard item op 'n karavaan gewees het. Het nie juis 'n gewig implikasie nie want meeste spaarwiele is in elkgeval in die neuskas van die karavaan. Nog 'n plus punt is die gemak waarmee jy die spaar op sy plek kan terug sit, want dis nie nodig om die wiel in die lug te hou en dan moere op te draai nie, die wiel skarnier tot op die grond.

Enigste haak plekkie is jy moet die spaarwiel wegvou/wegslaan deur 'n pen uit te trek elke keer as jy die neuskas wil oopmaak. Maar dit is regtig nie moeilik om dit te doen nie.
