Moved down to warmer climate for a while. Lovely caravan park and well run great ablutions. Level grassed sites. Staff very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to our stay here. Have some family members we need to visit while here ?

Hi Brian  We stayed at that caravan park for a while in 1981 while waiting to move into the house i bought in PineTown The trees were still quiet small then most of them were advocado pear trees Are there still avo trees there ??We eventually moved back to Cape Town as my Job transfered me back in 1984  Long time back almost 40 years ago

Hi Richard, sometimes but mostly just the rally. If the weather is going to be lousy then we put the sidewalls and front up, then roll the front up if the weather improves. 

Benkie, yes there still some Avo trees here and with some Avos on ?, the low hanging ones have been taken but higher up there quite a few still on the trees.

I grew up in Qweensborough, [ school days ] can still remember the adress of our house, it was 643 Stella Road.

Rakende die advokado pere. Ek sou voorstel om eers die oord te vra of mens mag kry van dit, eerder as om dit net te vat. Miskien is daar n werker daar wat dit oes en verkoop om ekstra geldjie te maak. Deur net te vat sou mens miskien die brood en botter uit n ander se mond vat. 

No chance we will just take without first getting permission. We had that problem where some people thought they could help themselves to our avos - we had 7 avo trees on our last property with an orchard of fruit trees the stealing was quite problematic and they were quite astounded that they could not just come in and get when ever they wanted. Cost plenty to secure the property just to keep them out !

So we have an overnight sometime next week at Mountainview, Harrismith. Went down to Kingsburgh to see the "sardine run" today, what chaos around the nest when the boats come in. Fighting pushing , shoving - took a few pictures and turned around and walked away.

Wow...dis nog iets wat ek graag wil ervaar.

Brian, how did you experience Queensburgh?

Queensburgh is a lovely resort well run and maintained. The location suited us well to visit family in Westville and down to Margate and would certainly recommend it. Access roads seem a little narrow but nothing to be concerned about even with our large van although all the roads in the Durban suburbs seemed narrow to us. Sites are level and grassed staff are willing and very helpful. Monkeys are around but did not bother us at all, I think the staff chase them off very efficiently.

Ayanda the guard at the boom gate is such pleasure to stop and talk too always smiling and jovial tell him everything is "Tickety Boo" or "Hunky Dory"  he will remember us :)
