Caravan Window Fitment
When installing another window on your caravan, whether new or second hand, something I overlooked (did not see or think of on my inspection) when installing a new window on my caravan is the positive sealing of the weather seal on the caravan to the new window. As the old seal conformed to the window that was installed, it does not seal correctly on the new window which is installed correctly. The top side of the seal does not seal at all and the problem is if you are driving in rain, the water will egress through that opening into the caravan. The other three sides are fine. I have to see whether I can get a new seal which should solve the problem!
Note that all looks good from the outside and inside until you have a closer look at the seal from the inside.
Good point Ronald.
When i broke my windows in Karoo NP, slight turn and scraped the windows back against a gate post, and the windows were replaced the seals were also replaced, i don't remember if they were also damaged, the stays were. This was by far the longest part of the repair. (Other than waiting for their driver to return from his rounds)

Thanx for this tip. I will keep it in mind should the need arise.
