Fuel level will be temporarily reduced from 4 Nov 2026.

•  Fuel levy will be reduced by R3 per litre for diesel and R1.50 per litre for petrol.

From 1 December  

• 1 December 2026 to 5 January 2027, the relief will continue at R1.50 per litre for diesel and R1 per litre for petrol.

So we have some relief for the December holidays. Hope the oil price also reduces some that would be the real bonus.

Oil price is not the problem....our ANC government is the problem. Oil was in  July 2008 nearly $148 and diesel price under R12. These days the oil is not close to it, but 3x the price. Okay...the ZAR was approximately R8 to to US$, but difference still big

Also google the current price of diesel in Botswana.....also google who are the main suppliers of diesel to Botswana

Don't be under the illusion that petrol is going to be R 1,50 lower next month. It is only a reduction in the fuel levi. Predictions are that petrol might increase by according to some with up to R5. Subtracting the lower fuel levi that would mean we will still have an increase that might as high as R3,50

If the AnC did not reduce the y levy all be it temporary imagine what the increase may be 

R5 per liter is a worse case scenario. Let us hope https://fuel.psyphin.co.za is nearer correct.

Brent oil is up from last month and the R/$ value is down so I would be surprised if we have a nett decrease, but I hope I am wrong.
