Not familiar with any camping resorts close to Mbabane. Maybe you should consider a day trip from Badplaas. It's not that far. About 90 km.

Hi Eugene.   We have stayed in the huts and chalets at Milwane and Royal Hlane.  Both belong to Big Game Parks which you can Google.  There are campsites at both Game Reserves.   There were quite a few caravans at Milwane during our last stay.  I cannot comment on the ablutions, etc, as we stayed in serviced huts.

Just take care as they have a 80km speed limit on the main roads and speed humps !!!

I have only camped at Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary - near Mbabane. Towed said point in time my Sprite Sprint and the road conditions is exectional and the fuel prices even better. The border control is a breeze and lots of sightseeing places: e.g. Swazi Candles, House on Fire, Ngwenya Glass etc. People are friendly and you do feel safe travelling in their beutiful land. Just don't make the mistake we made one year travelling gravel roads. We travelled Pigg's Peak via Bulembu Gate to Barberton. The road should not be driven with normal sedan, MPV etc. but luckily we survived.

Eugene, I camped in the mid '90 at Milwane in the huts. Ver pleasant and friendly then. Please stay within the speed limit and drive slow when you pass the king's residence. There are Shoprite stores throughout Swaziland. Cannot say about meat and veggies.. please keep us posted about your trip
