Planning a weekend at Sionbergh, for those that have been can you give me some insights please, it will be our first trip there.

Morning Stranger. 

After leaving the tar, you have about a kilometer of dirt road, but I have never found it in a poor condition. 

After entering the gate, I normally follow the road right to the T junction where you will find the quaint little shop on your right where you need to sign in. 

Regarding the stands, i find the ones closest to the pond the nicest as they tend to have the better grass cover. The ones across from the shop lack shade and although they are larger than the waterfront stands they tend to lack character. 

I personally prefer the waterfront stands which I believe are 1 to 10 and my own personal choice would always be 1 to 4. But that is because I like to cast a rod in the pond. Caught a 7kg carp there and bass are aplenty. 

Ablutions are closer to the bottom stands and are clean and acceptable. 

The warm and cold pool are equally accessible to most of the stands. 

The shop is also central and is well stocked for those little things that you may have forgotten. 

This is a quiet and peaceful camping site and I enjoy spending time there, but there is not as much to do there in comparison to bigger aventura types of resorts, but just to unwind and relax, it is great. 

Stranger,

one of our favorite camping grounds due to peace, quiet and nature. The resort is well managed and always tidy. The stands next to the water are on green grass and overlook the "pond". If you want to try fishing these are the best. Further back there is no shade, and the sites at the entrance are in full sun. Close to the water, stands 1-11, 13-15, some shade not to far from the water, stands 41-46. Stands 47 onwards not bad, but full sun.  Enjoy.

Ons wou n ruk gelede soontoe gaan en het aanbeveling op facebook gevra. Ons het teen besoek besluit omdat heelwat mense sê die plaas langsaan stink verskriklik en lok baie vlieë. Is dit so?

Ek het wel ook die stories van die reuk en vliee gehoor, en ek glo dat dit wel moontlik is. Maar ek moet byvoeg dat ek al ses  keer al daar gekamp het en nog self nie die probllem ervaar het nie. Dalk was ek daar toe die wind die regte rigting gewwaai het.

Ons het oor Kersnaweek so 3 jaar gelede daar gekamp. Kampplek was aangenaam maar verskriklik baie vliee.  210l dromme sonder deksels het as asblikke gedien en vliegplaag vererger.  Plaas oorkant die dam het vermoedelik vark/ beesboerdery wat oorsaak van vliegplaag was. Sal nie maklik weer daar kamp nie.
