Forever Resorts has been sold to "Benus Trade and Invest". Hopefully the standards don't drop as Forever has always upheld the standards set by Aventura when they purchased.

I also hope that standards will be at least kept the same or even approved. I seldomly use their resorts, except Gariep which is a normal one night stay-over between the Boland and the Lowveld.

We have stayed 1 month at Swadini, 2 months at Blyde canyon, and 3 months at Phalaborwa, all top notch resorts.

Ek is nogal bekommerd oor die situasie. Ek maak baie gebruik van Phalaborwa, Gariep en Swadini, en dit is puik oorde.

Weet iemand wie en wat is die agtergrond van Benus Trade and Invest.

CIH is black owned with interests in 6 vital areas of the economy,none in the hospitality sector. Soon after takeover most staff will be replaced with comrades with no experience in this sector, the assets will be plundered until the resorts are in disrepair and no longer functional and campers will find new resorts to support.When there are natural disasters eg fire or flooding it usually takes years to repair that`s if the damage is repaired at all,It will take a year or two to see if there is going to be a decline at the resorts but I am really hoping this is not the case. ( Been going to Forever Resorts Plett for the past 15 years and every year there is an improvement in facilities)

Ek is seker maar negatief, maar kan nie help as ek kyk na waar hulle kampeer run, onsuksesvol is. Kyk maar eenvoudige voorbeelde soos Castle Rock oorkant Merry Pebbles....of La Mouette op noordkus waar hul kamp teen miljoene oogegradeer het en al toegemaak het nog voor daar enige kampeerders ingekom het. Selfs wildtuin is n voorbeeld.....mense kan maar sê wat hul wil, maar wildtuin kampeer geriewe het baie agteruit gegaan sedert 1994.

Hoop hierdie mense bewys my verkeerd....

Dit is so waar 'n hartseer gebeurtenis.  Want die oorname van nuwe maatskappy volgens geskiedenis is nie goeie verwagtinge vir die toekoms nie.

Ek hoop maar ons almal is hopeloos te skepties en dat dinge sal gaan soos wat dit was of selfs verbeter.

Miskien koop ATKV mettertyd die oorde.

Ek wonder waarom Forever onttrek en ek vermoed plaaslike Bestuur het nie aan die groep se vereistes voldoen nie. Ons het gereeld by Gariepdam oorgestaan en speel graag put-put.  Die baie mooi baan daar het mettertyd al meer agteruitgegaan. Soms was daar soveel blare op die bane dat spel nie 'n plesier was nie.  Maar 'n hele aantal werkers het in die skadu gesit en niks doen nie.  Van hulle was sekerlik verantwoordelik vir die put-put baan en van die ander vir ander take wat waarskynlik ook nie gedoen was nie. Ons het die afleiding gemaak dat die oordbstuur maar traak-my-nie-agtig was. Dalk was dit ook die aard by ander oorde en kon hulle dalk nie hulle goeie standaard bykom nie.  Toe hulle pas oorgenem het, was die standaard goed maar soos met alles hier, het dit dalk maar begin gly. Ek twyfel of die nuwe eienaars dit gaan verbeter, hulle het geen kennis van die tipe onderneming nie so hulle het geen verwysingsraamwerk om dit teen te meet nie.

 Ons het ook eenmaal by hulle restaurant gaan eet en die vleis in die skaapkerrie was so taai dat ons dit gladnie kon eet nie. Ons was ook nie enigste gaste in die restaurant.

Dalk maak ek verkeerde afleidings maar ek oordeel maar op grond van wat ons ervaar het.
