Our awesome CaravanParks.com Team hopes you enjoy many hours of fun in researching and learning as much as possible when it comes to our country’s amazing animals. We further encourage you to share your own experiences with fellow campers via the Forums.

This Field Guide is accessible from two different angles.

Dashboard – Once you have logged into your Dashboard you are able to access the full field guide providing you additional information on habitat, behaviour, breeding, movement and identification markings along with other details per animal. Creating your own Wish Lists and Sightings are made easy.

Forum Topic – Once you have added your animal sighting it will appear within the CaravanParks.com Forums. You have the option to attach photos and text about your sighting.
Campers are able to enjoy information and interact and learn from your sightings.

Dankie....lyk na n lekker App. Ek het nou fotos gelaai onder Impala, waar gaan ek in om ander mense se sightings te sien....ek sien hy gaan nie onder normale active forum topics nie.

Kan mens meer inligting kry oor diere...soos draagtyd...hoeveelheid in n werpsel....verwagte leeftyd ensovoorts? Is daar erens waar ek op moet click?

Most of the search tools and additional information on each animal is found within the Dashboard section. 

Search for an animal and click on the Details button for information per animal. 

The Forums section is intended to comment and create an interactive experience. 

The Dashboard section is where we do most of the reading and learning. 

It was built like this so that when we launch the Animals of Southern Africa APP that is separate to CaravanParks.com it becomes easy to manage and navigate. 

As we expected the Animals of Southern Africa has over whelmed the "Latest Topics" section of the general Forums. We intend removing them from this “Latest Topic” section and provide a separate “Latest Sightings” button just for the Animals.

Voorstel: miskien program so aanpas dat mens verplig is om n foto te plaas. Om net woorde te lees soos "Impala seen at KNP on 10 Dec" sonder foto beteken nie veel nie....die foto maak die posting interesant.

This is a great app and I will surly use it.  When implemented as a phone app it will be a great tool for kids to learn the various animals.

Note, this data from IUCN dates to 2016, but is the most recent available on a global scale.

Yes thank you Leon, we are going to be launching the "stand alone"  Animals of Southern Africa APP. 

It will be marketed to the outside market intended to people who are not into camping.   

This hopefully will drive more people into the camping industry, even if we all wish to have the whole resort all to ourself.
