Hi, we have a Jurgens Exclusive 2016 model and have now bought an add a room. We find it extremely difficult to set up the add a room. Any step by step advise will be very helpful please! should we first set up the modular tent and maybe keep the poles short ( at half their height ) ? And then attach the add a room? Do we also first keep the poles of the add a room at half their height? We have unfortunately only been able to camp once with our caravan and I would like to get some tips on an easier way to set up. Especially with the add a room as it took us ages!

The way we did it was to set up the tent as normal just with the Add-A-room zipped in position like you would do the normal side panel.

Lay the room poles outside the room on the floor in the big tent.

Then go into the Add-a-room and install first the middle pole.  From that you have the two short poles going to either side of the rear corners.  Then install the side horizontal ones with legs.  Last extend the  horizontal poles little at a time till the room is set up correctly.  It would help if a second person hold the middle pole up while the first install the side poles and uprights.

 

Another suggestion is that most of the resorts have staff that knows how to set up camp. Let them do it and you watch and learn say at R100 per worker - 2 guys can put up your setup for R200 and you don't even sweat.
