Stay over one night December
Does the Kabeljous Caravan Park in Jeffery's Bay still exist and is it good enough for a one night stay over ? Need a stay over for one night on our way to Yellow Sands in December.
Jeffery's Bay caravan park on the beach front is full, Gamtoos Ferry Hotel campsite is full.
Another alternative will be Wacky Woods near to the Gamtoos Ferry hotel, has anyone been there?

Try the Homestead in Addo , could little bit out of the way for your liking, maybe spend two nights & you do a day trip to the elephant park.
We had a night at Wacky Woods and the only problem that we had was the lack of power (When we were there).
I do not know if Kabeljous is still operational.
Have you tried van Staadens a bit closer to PE. We enjoyed our stay there, but this is a popular resort, so would probably be full.
The Willows is popular so would probably also be full.
There is also a caravan Park at Colchester next to the Hiway were the Sundays River enters the sea, between PE and Nanaga Farm Stall. There is a Spa and filling station next to the caravan Park. This is popular amongst the fishermen in the area, as they can launch their boats there as well. I have not stayed there, but it is close to the Hiway for a one nighter...
It’s called Pearson Park Resort. I did pop in there to have a look, it looked inviting.
Campervan, thanks for your reply.
The entrance to Wacky Woods seemed a bit small with the trees , will I get my van in? it's the same size as an exclusive.
The resort at the Sundays River is is Pearsons ?
Rare Breed - thanks for your reply, I will consider Homestead should I not get a spot closer to the freeway.
I am not sure Brian. I went in with a LDV Camper, so was not even towing. I thus did not need to check if anything else would fit or not...
Campervan thanks I will contact them directly - hopefully they have a set for me
Campervan thanks, Wacky Woods have a spot for us so deposit paid. we will be stopping over there in December for one night.
Kabeljous has been closed for some time.
Have a look at our website www.flipentilla.com we have most of the parks in that area listed.
Thanks Flip I wasn't sure about Kabeljous. Will report back after staying at Wacky Woods all be it just for the one night.
