Hi everyone just wanted to add - for those you dont know this resort - Ruby River Resort just outside Middelburg is a very nice camping resort - very clean - nice ablutions - river is quite deep and lots of fishing can be done - We go regularly as staff are very friendly and helpful and they also allow small dogs in the camp - We love it there

Afraid cannot agree with that. We stayed there at the end of July. The ablutions i think were terrible. The hot water was heated by donkey. Water and electrical points were not well placed. They also have a track for Quad bikes and these guys have to run right past the caravan sites to get to it. Once we realised this we decided not to stay as the noise of the quad bike would have been too much.

I definetly would not go back there. There are much better resorts in the same area - 

Forever resorts Loskop Dam or Voetpadkloof would be a much better option in my opinion.

We went their shortly after they created the caravan park (2006), the ablutions was still new.  The one quad bike handbrake came loose and ran in to the river and had to pull it out with the other one.  Then we had a terrible rain storm.

Anyone been here recently ? Are the quad bikes still a problem ?
