Hi all.
We are going visit family over the Easter weekend and intend to stay at Queensburgh Caravan Resort near Durban. Can anyone give some feedback on the conditions at the resort?

The only thing I can say is "magic".

The owners of Queensburgh have more than a finger on the pulse, so this park is absolutely spotless.

Hi, We stayed there in Dec. We could not fault the park. Absolutley fantastic, clean, staff and owners exceptional. We were amazed. We live in Durban, and will be booking in again for a close drive weekend. When you are there you can not believe the park is in the middle of a residential area.

Hello Doug, we were there in November last year just to see the resort. Wow, it's amazing. We have booked a river site for the end of April (long weekend). Our neighbour was there in December and he told us how amazing the resort is. You won't be sorry. We are also looking forward to going there for our first time this year. Regards, Denise Wagenaar

Hi to all who responded to my request.
Glad to read all the positive reports regarding the resort - was a bit apprehensive after being advised by my mother-in-law to look elsewhere. ( Just found out that she has never been there herself. I should have known better - she advised me not to marry her daughter and we are now coming up for our 42nd wedding anniversary )

Just a little bit of history with regards Queensburgh Caravan Resort.

Up until about ten years ago – you DID NOT want to stay at Queensburgh Caravan Park, as it was then called. It was the proverbial “Squatters camp!”

Pieter and Corrie de Bruin bought the park about ten years ago. Pieter then contacted me and told me that he wants to clean up the park and asked me for advice.

As I live in Pietermaritzburg and only 20 minutes away, I promptly hoped into my car and visited them.  I have put in my 10 cents worth of advice, and I am extremely proud of the achievements that Pieter and Corrie have attained.  Pieter is the finest example of a “Worka holic” that you can get.

To cut a long story short, and many visits later, I regard Queensburgh Caravan Resort as one of the best in the country. Dot and I have camped at Queensburgh Caravan Resort on more occasions than what I can remember. We have camped there with the Trekkers Club and on our own many, many times and I can highly recommend the park.

After spending the Easter holidays at Queensburgh Caravan Resort , I can only echo the words of Willie Bromhead and say that this must be one of the best run caravan parks in the country. Hats-off to Pieter and Corrie for their exceptional service and hospitality.

Hi Douglas & Maura, Thanks for the positive feed back on your experience at Queenburgh Caravan Park.  We are going again for the weekend 25th to 27th May 2012. We only live 16ks from the park but find it great for a quick close get away break.

Corrie and I wish to thank each and every-one of you for all the kind words and super reports on our resort. It is people like yourselves that inspire us to do better for the camping ferternity.
