Anyone been to Pilanesbeg recently? We're staying in their safari tent this time and would like to know about security etc.

Safari tente by Manyane is deel van die karavaan park. Hulle deel ook die ablusies van die karavaanpark. Ons gaan 1x per jaar soontoe en nog nie onveilig gevoel nie en probleme ervaar nie.

Ek voel egter dat hul tent verblyf overpriced is vir wat jy kry.....maar dis elkeen se keuse

Thanks Geert. We have stayed in those tents a long time ago and this time our friend from UK can't make it so she gave us her booking. Of course we would rather stay in our own van with our own DNA😏

Paul Mulder (mulderpm) was there for nearly 2 weeks to the end of September. He is currently in Botswana and struggle with signal, so doubt if he will reply now....however I spoke to him earlier this month after his stay at Manyane. He said that he had a very pleasant stay there with no issues

Hulle was met die WA daar en het hulle dit geniet, tot n splash pool voor sy tent.

Het ook met Paul gepraat voor hul Botswana in is. 

Die wa is by die huis, hulle is met tent ⛺ in Botswana. Kom einde van Oktober terug Dan kan Hy julle baie vertel.

Te laat, ons vertrek Dinsdag vir 3 nagte. Maar dankie. Sal Bietjie raporteer daarna.

Luckily when we go there, it's during the week and again this trip, no shebeen sounds at all. (no night animal/bird calls either) seem to be less animals in the park as well, although we did manage to see the big 5 within 24 hours.

How full was the caravan park during the mid-week?

If there were 8 vans and a couple of tents it was a lot.

Very quiet, even though unbeknown to us, this week was free entry into the park.

They say they do this once a year, normally in September.

The roads are still bad and the general maintenance at Manyane is bad. Hot water was a bit of a problem especially in block A, so I showered in block B

I suppose the lack of funds due to lock-down has quite a bit to do with this, but I also have to wonder about the management. Would it not be better to uplift the maintenance than to waste fuel & salary for someone to walk around the campsite with a petrol leaf blower?

Ek dink nie agteruitgang het te doen met lock-down  nie. Warm water is al n paar jaar se probleem. Dagbesoekers area met daai voëlhok en wandelpaadjies is lankal verwaarloos. Probleem daar is die municipality wat in beheer is.
