We recently on our last tour were camping at Jbay when the storm hit. The sewage overflowed due to stormwater running into the system to the point where we had to move to avoid the stench and inconvenience. I assumed that it was due to the severity of that storm, however just heard from a fellow camper with the rain this past week that the situation is still the same.

So beware, you definitely don't want to be camping anywhere on the the downside of the ablutions. The smaller of the three ablution blocks was actually unusable due to sewage bubbling out of the showers.

Be sure to ask the management if this has been resolved before you decide to camp at JBay Caravan Park.

After the storm, when we were there, the flow actually killed the grass in its path. 

It' a nice town and the Council are actually repairing roads and potholes which is great but the caravan park cannot function safely under such conditions.

I hope so too Leon, It's actually a lovely caravan park in a great town that seemed to be doing lots of maintenance. 

I was told that however that the sewer problem when it rains has been there for some time now. Lets hope they get to resolve it soon.
