Another fantastic time at Queensburgh Caravan Park
Regards MArg
One day Marg one day, it is on my list
I can agree this park is special .... what a setting!
Hi Marg,
When I was down in Durban last week, I had a look - Beautiful to say the least.
BUT, I would be worried that I may not be able to get my caravan out - I don't have any problems with hills - but having to pull away with that steep incline including virtually stopping at the speed humps would not be easy. I asked security if they could help me if it became a problem and got half an answer.
Regrettably, I will be looking at less nice places when I am down there again.

I understand Marg - But, I am otherwise and different (difficult if you wish) - I wonder if there is anybody on the forum that tows with a smaller engine than I do - 1 248cc and then I may not have a big caravan, but certainly not the smallest nor lightest.
I agree, the guard has probably not encountered my question before - As you say, there is no way we can go there before communication with the offices.
We drove through and had a look around, including the ablutions - very nice, including the mountains surrounding - certainly worth considering.

Willie's bit.
I have been involved with Queensburgh Caravan Resort from the time Pieter and Corrie took it over more than ten years ago. (Maybe longer!)
When Pieter bought it, the park was a squatter camp. One look, and you drove straight out!
After many phone calls from Pieter, many visits to the park, many camps in Queensburgh, my little bit of advice for what it was worth, Queensburgh Caravan Resort gets my vote of approval as one of the best in the country today.
WELL DONE Pieter and Corrie!
We took delivery of the Fleetline two and a half years ago - went straight from Durban Caravans to Queensburgh to try it out!
Willie at Queensburgh in 2007.
This is how we spent the last fifteen years - working our buts off!
Dit lyk werklik na 'n oulike plek.
Dankie dat julle dit met ons deel....................miskien eendag as ek en my bruid op pensioen gaan sal ons daar aandoen.
I also caravan at queensburgh on a few occasions and had no problem exiting the park.
Last year we took our newly aquired penta there for a trial, straight from Durban Caravans to Quensburg Caravan park. It is a great park, we keep saying that we will be going there more frequently just for an outing (5kms from home).
Queensburgh Caravan Park is 'n pragtige oord.
BIG TIME!!
